The challenge

SilverWood Books is a Bristol institution. With over 11 years experience in self publishing, Helen Hart’s wonderful company rests on a solid reputation for care, expertise and professionalism. However, with a stretched team and a need to drive new business, it was time for some strategic marketing. Like many business leaders, Helen wasn’t willing to rest on her laurels. She wanted to attract new clients, with focused, tactical content marketing.

 

Our solution

Lean Content dived straight in to working with SilverWood Books, with our 90 minute Deep Dive call. We pulled together a 3 month content roadmap, and worked closely with SilverWood staff to dovetail our planning with industry events, stakeholders and authors that needed publicity.

After this, we began regularly publishing content to both the company, and individual LinkedIn profiles, putting together social media, blogging, targeted PR and lead generation to drive new authors towards SilverWood’s brilliant offering.

Working with Helen and the team at SilverWood couldn’t have been easier. They were eager to help, willing to share information and made this project a complete joy.

 

The outcome

Within the first month, we saw a dramatic uplift in LinkedIn connections, and an improvement of average user time spent on the updated SilverWood website. With an increasing stream of new author enquiries coming in, Helen’s engagement on LinkedIn became a powerful sales tool.
